Trinity Shares Christmas – Angel Tree
This is our 14th year of sharing Christmas! The tree is up again this weekend with ADDITIONAL ornaments requesting food, gifts and donations for new families. The recipients of your love will once again be Angel Tree children, whose parents are incarcerated, and their caretakers. Each child will receive two gifts in the name of their parent, and the caretakers will receive food for a Christmas meal. If you would like to participate:
  1. Take one or more ornaments from the tree.
  2. Write your name and each ornament code or donation amount on the pad provided on the shelf.
  3. Return the requested donations and unwrapped gifts with the ornaments no later than Sunday, November 24. Please do not use the adhesive side of the ornament.
Our Angel Tree list has 13 families and 28 children – more than last year! If you have any questions about Trinity Shares Christmas/Angel Tree, please contact Glenda at whitemice@bellsouth.net

You’re Invited
Join us for a combined Worship service together, a wonderful Thanksgiving Meal, and Recognition of our Trinity Volunteers
It's our traditional Trinity congregation Thanksgiving dinner with a little change. On Sunday, November 24, we will worship together at one service at 10am. (Remember the great feeling of togetherness and a full church at the Anniversary service?!) Following the service we will journey to the Fellowship Hall and the gym for Chef Poole's delicious turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, along with accompanying dishes that we will bring to share.(There will be a donation basket to cover the cost of the main courses.) Members whose last names begin with A-H please bring a hot side to share, J-R please bring a cold side to share, S-V bring a pie or cookies, and W-Z bring a cake or cupcakes. Please plan for a dish that serves 10-12 people. It will be helpful if you drop off the food in Fellowship Hall before the service. Bring your specialty, a favorite recipe or stop by Publix. It will be a great time of fellowship, perhaps visiting with friends who attend other services and you haven't seen for awhile. Bring your family and friends and an attitude of gratitude.

Sunday 9:30 Adult Bible Study/Book Club
On November 24 you will meet in the second Loggia classroom at 9am for class, before the combined worship at 10am.

Thank you all so much for the prayers, calls, and cards sent to share love and care while I’ve been away from worship at Trinity.  I’m doing well and hope to be back very soon!! (If she could, she’d crawl right through this email and give you a great big hug!)

Support from Volunteers While CDC Staff have been on Maternity Leave
Over the last few months the CDC has been blessed by six amazing Trinity women who have been volunteering. Roberta Levinson, Maggie Bowles, Kathy Aber, Bonnie Roby, and Debbie Holley have covered our reception desk 5 afternoons from 4-6pm each week, greeting families and loving on little ones.  We are so thankful that we have had their help while we have had staff on maternity leave. We have also been blessed by Darlene Youngbar who has been cleaning our three bathrooms twice per week since the start of the school year. (Definitely not a fun job for anyone, but she has done it willingly and with a smile).  Thank you for blessing the CDC with your kindness and generosity!

Sweep and Sweep and Sweep
Perhaps due to the construction next door and across the street, we seem to have quite a bit of trash blowing around and gathering in the main parking lot and under the gates and front entry.  If you’re available to help out with sweeping and collecting trash from those areas once or twice a week, especially just before the weekend, please let us know at TLC@TrinityDowntown.com .  Thank you!

Worn Out Flags
A flag that is torn, tattered, faded or dirty should be removed and disposed of properly. According to the U.S. Code, Title 4, Chapter 1, also known as the Flag Code, “The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.”  If you have a worn out flag that needs to be retired, you may turn it in to the church office. We’ll pass it on to a member of Operation Barnabas who will see to it that it is properly retired.

Choir meets Wednesdays @ 7:30 p.m. Please join us!
Choir has started and there are plenty of seats available for new members to join us. No one is turned away. Yes, you can sing! Choir meets Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. in the church balcony. It's okay if you have to miss some Wednesday rehearsals or Sunday services. We typically sing three Sundays a month, including two 11:00 a.m. services and one 8:00 a.m. service. Please come join us!

You're Invited to Make A More Joyful Noise!
"Make A More Joyful Noise!" is open to everyone that wants to make a More Joyful Noise! We sing a few times each year , and ask that you join us for rehearsal the Wednesday before the Sunday we sing, or even the morning that we sing. This is for anyone that wants to "try out" choir, even if for only one Sunday, or for those that want to share the joy of Jesus Christ through music. Faith, fun and fellowship are abundant with Make A More Joyful Noise! Please come join us!

Please let us know!
Please let your Trinity family know of any scheduled surgery or hospital stay.  In addition to scheduled procedures, please give the church office a call to let us know about extended illness, unplanned hospital stays, or even the birth of a child.  You can call the office at any time and leave a message-no need to wait until business hours (407-488-1919 x101). During business hours, that information can then be forwarded to the appropriate caregivers. We'll get back to you ASAP. We want to be sure to know when you need us - whether to pray with you before a scheduled procedure, sit with you during a loved one's procedure, pray for you while you recover, visit you in the hospital/at home or to share praise and thanksgiving prayers for good news/results. Just let us know.  Thank you.

Urgent Prayer Requests
If you have an urgent prayer request that can’t wait until you fill out a yellow prayer card during worship, please submit it via email to Pray@TrinityDowntown.com .  While submitting a yellow card during worship is still the preferred way to share prayer requests, sometimes a prayer need can’t wait until Sunday.  Your prayer request (first name and basic details of the prayer requested) will be shared with a team of committed weekday prayer warriors and will also be added to Trinity’s regular printed prayer list for the congregation.  All prayers are kept on the printed list for a period of three weeks, so please resubmit long term prayer needs regularly so that they stay on the printed list. Thank you.
