Stewardship Drive
"What can I offer unto the Lord for all He has done for me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and praise the Lord for saving me. I will keep my promises to the Lord in the presence of all His people." Psalm 116

Trinity is now conducting our annual stewardship campaign. A stewardship letter and pledge card was sent to your home with instructions on how to pledge for the next year.

It has come to our attention that some members of the congregation have not received their stewardship letter. If you are a member or regular attender and have not received this letter, please contact the church office so we can ensure we have the correct contact information for you on file. Extra copies of the letter and pledge can be found at the exits to the church.

May God bless you as you "honor God from your wealth." Proverbs 3:9

District Convention Update
The FLGA District held its 34th Convention at the World Renaissance Golf and Resort in St. Augustine, Florida on June 17-19. Trinity was represented by Tom Finger and Pastor Kallesen.

The Convention elected:
  • Rev. James Rockey who currently serves Amazing Grace Lutheran Church in Oxford, Florida. He and his wife, Martha, have two children.
  • Rev. Charles Riche of Grace Winter Haven will serve as our Region 3 Vice President.
  • Rev. Ken Green will continue serving as our Circuit Visitor.

The District is composed of five regions and the Convention’s financial report showed a strong balance sheet.

President Walton served the FLGA District for three four year terms and due to COVID, his term was extended one additional year, making a total of 13 years. President Walton and his wife, Edith, plan to return to Atlanta, Georgia, where their children and grandchildren live. Although he is not retiring, he had no plans to announce what he would be doing, only where they would be.

President Matthew Harrison, LCMS Synodical President, attended and presented a State of the Synod report. President Kieshnick, former LCMS Synodical President, also brought greetings.

The District Office will be moving to the 3rd floor of the same Citadel 1 building in which they are currently located.
Congratulations Graduates!
We want to extend a special congratulations to everyone who has graduated high school this year and is stepping into the next season of life! If your child or grandchild is part of the Trinity family and has graduated from high school, we would love to celebrate this milestone with you and hear what their plans are for next year! Please email TLC@TrinityDowntown.com with their name, current address, plans for next year, and college they are attending (if applicable) so we can celebrate with you and include these young adults in prayer.
Family Fun Night
Trinity's next Family Fun Night will be held TONIGHT, Friday, June 24, from 6:30pm-8:30pm. All ages from young to old are welcome to join in on some fun and games, whether board games or card games. A fun addition to this evening will be a popcorn machine and a cotton candy machine.

The Fellowship and Outreach team will be providing American casserole dishes as the main entre. Attendees are asked to bring a dessert. A free-will offering will be taken to help cover operating expenses as well as for the Pastor's Discretionary Fund.

This month will also include a themed basket on display for a raffle drawing. The basket is "What's Poppin'? Popcorn/Movie Night" themed and worth over $75 in value. So bring your $1 bills and play your heart out! Baskets change each month, but the purpose remains the same: to raise money to purchase gazebos for the courtyard.

Please contact the church office with any questions.
Prayer Warrior Team
Trinity has a prayer warrior team that is dedicated to praying for those in our church and community who need prayer. We are starting this up once again and will specifically be lifting up those on the prayer list found in the bulletin and in the Weekly.

If you want to be involved in lifting up prayers for Trinity family and friends, please contact the church office.
Peace's 5.5 Birthday Celebration
It's Peace's favorite time of year! Please join us as we celebrate Peace's 5.5 Birthday! The celebration will be in the loggia classrooms following services on Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3. Peace's actual birthday is at Christmas, so we celebrate her half birthdays during July, which is also when she began her ministry. Can you believe Peace has been a Trinity member for 4 years now?!

Join Peace and team for "people treats," coloring sheets, and a photo location to get your picture taken with Peace. We hope to see you at Peace's 55. Birthday!
Peace Shares
Peace has a special request as we celebrate her birthday and ministry anniversary.

Peace's groomer - All Creatures Pet Grooming - continues to take in pets that need to find new homes. Their generous and loving nature saves dogs and cats that otherwise might be put down.

Peace wants to help them! Peace and team are collecting dog and cat food, treats and toys - any flavor, any brand - to help support their efforts. In addition, they can also use old towels and blankets.
All Creatures Pet Grooming has been very generous to Peace, donating their time and services to provide free grooming every month. That's why Peace is so anxious to help them and give back.

Please bring any donations and leave it in the narthex in Peace's box. If money is easier, you can give cash or check to Paul Soost, Peace's Top Dog. Checks should be made out to Trinity Lutheran Church with Peace Shares written on the memo line. Please bring all donations by Sunday, July 31.

Please help Peace give back to All Creatures Pet Grooming as they find new homes for dogs and cats in need. Thank you!

Sunday School for Adults
New Sunday School Class
We are excited to begin a new Sunday School class led by James Gusewelle and David Wilkosz.

In this class, we will be diving into one of the key documents from the Book of Concord--the Augsburg Confession. In addition to the confession itself, we will also look at the context in which it was written. What was going on in the church and the world at that time? Why was it written? Who was involved in writing it? Why wasn't it written by Martin Luther? Curious? Join us on Sunday morning for details!
