Elders Ministry Team

“I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.”  – 1st Peter 5:1-4

The objectives of the Elders Ministry Team are the spiritual welfare of the Pastor(s) and congregation members, and the supervision of everything pertaining to congregational worship.  Whenever someone in our Trinity family needs a strong sense of belonging, Elders demonstrate spiritual care that is strengthening and relational.

Elders assist the Pastoral staff in providing for the spiritual life of the congregation.  Elders are advocates through prayer for the spiritual, emotional, and physical health and welfare of the pastors and their families.

Elders assist the Pastor(s) during worship services with prayers, scripture reading, assisting with Baptisms, and distribution of Communion.  The elders each have a list of congregational members to whom they minister.  Elders, when needed, minister to members who cannot attend worship services by bringing Communion and comfort to their homes.
