Food & Funds on the Fifth
Once again it is a Food on the Fifth month. Trinity asks members and friends to donate canned and boxed food to share with our community neighbors. This month the recipient is the Christian Service Center. Funds are also collected through the offering plate by designating "Church Discretionary Fund" on the memo line or envelope face. These monies are designated to help people within our congregation and in our community who are in difficult or desperate financial stress.

Comfort Dog Ministry
Our public fundraising campaign for the Comfort Dog Ministry was launched Tuesday through GoFundMe.  Please find it on our Facebook page and share it with your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, EVERYONE!  And then tell them to share it with everyone they know.  We need to get the word out into the community so they can help us reach our goal!

Building the Team  We're building the Comfort Dog Ministry Team now.  On the Comfort Dog Webpage you'll find a list of opportunities to serve on this ministry team.  Contact us at ComfortDog@TrinityDowntown.com  to let us know.  The next team meeting will be in August!  Let's get to know one another, find out where and how everyone can serve, and learn more about what is involved in community visits with the dog and taking care of the dog.

Thank you for your support!  We're thrilled about all the outreach opportunities this will provide and how many people can be involved!  This is going to be an awesome ministry for Trinity!

VBS: Change of Plans
THANK YOU to everyone who has signed up to help with VBS this summer.  Given our current number of registrations and the volunteer support available after recruiting for many weeks, we've decided to change the plan a bit. While we had a FANTASTIC turnout of volunteers, nearly all were for prep work and most aren't able to be available the week of VBS to host guests from the community, lead crews of children and monitor activity stations (Lots of people on vacation this summer!).  We have made the difficult decision to cancel the 5-day community/church member VBS event - as we are whole-heartedly committed to the safety and well being of the children placed in our care, and we just don't have enough volunteers to ensure that at this time. However, we have offered to have the prep-work volunteers continue to work on artwork and station activities for our school ministry's Summer Camp and VPK programs to utilize in the classroom with paid teaching staff leading the activities at appropriate teacher-student ratios. We are disappointed as a church team not to be able to provide a large community outreach event, but so blessed to know we can still support the paid staff in the school ministry to reach out with the creative lessons in the Maker Fun Factory.  If you have any questions, please contact the pastoral office at 407-488-1919 x101 or TLC@Trinitydowntown.com.

New Bible Study Series in July
For all five Sundays in July at 9:30am in Fellowship Hall, join a discussion group that will reflect on some of our favorite church hymns and dig into the scriptural references within them. Together we'll explore the treasures of encouragement and teaching found in some of our most inspiring music.  It's a great time to visit with your church family and learn something new about music and scripture.  Coffee and snacks are available - we just need YOU.  Click here for a lsit of all Bible study groups.

Family Portraits
If you photos taken by our Membership Directory photographers, they're now ready for pick up and will be in the Narthex this weekend.

4th of July
Please note all programs and offices are closed on Tuesday, July 4th.  Happy Independence Day!
