The February all-day IDignity event was held on February 15 at their new location, the Salvation Army gymnasium.  While  friends from our almost-ten-year association with the Orlando Union Rescue Mission will be missed, it was exciting to set up shop in a larger facility.  Pastor Doug gave the prayer at the morning orientation, and Trinity members Gladys and Omar Dittmer, Glenda Frazier, Diann Grover, and Robert Trapp were included in the 100+ volunteers serving at the event this February. Thanks to Trinity’s sponsorship, the volunteers enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by Hubbly Bubbly – thank you to all who made this possible!

Of the 177 clients who came to obtain identity documents, 90 received their Florida ID, 55 applied for Social Security cards, 47 received their Florida birth certificates, and 40 out-of-state birth certificate applications were filled out and sent.

If anyone would like to observe an event (held on the third Thursday of each month), tours are available; contact Anne Taylor at annetaylor@idignity.org.  Or, if you would like to volunteer at an event, sign up at https://idignity.org/volunteer/ – don’t wait till the last minute; IDignity volunteers love it so much that all the slots are usually filled a week or two prior to the event!
